Twenty commercial attachés from around the world are due to arrive in Brighton and Hove for a two-day visit starting today (Monday 5 November).
There are hopes that the visit will drum up business and jobs for firms in Brighton and Hove, particularly those in the digital sector.
The diplomatic staff come from America, Canada, China, India, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, France, Germany, Australia, Italy and Spain.
UKTI works with British businesses to help them succeed in international markets. It also encourages the best overseas companies to locate or invest in Britain.
Tony Mernagh, executive director of the Economic Partnership, said that the trade delegation members were particularly interested in Brighton’s offer as a digital hub.
He said that a full programme of activities and visits had been put together by the Economic Partnership and Wired Sussex.
