More snow has fallen across Brighton and Hove overnight and more has been forecast for this afternoon (Sunday 20 January).
A few flurries have already fallen this morning with several roads and most pavements covered in snow or ice with conditions still hazardous.
Southern, the train operator, advised commuters from Brighton, Hove and Portslade to check its website because it planned to operate a revised timetable again tomorrow (Monday 21 January).
Today (Sunday 20 January) Southern and First Capital Connect passengers were having to use replacement buses between Brighton and Three Bridges. This was down to planned engineering works.
Brighton and Hove Buses said that most services were running today although some were still having to stop short in the hilly suburbs such as parts of Mile Oak and Hangleton. The company is providing updates on its website www.buses.co.uk.
