A woman has been charged with stealing a charity box from a shop in Hove.
The 46-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of taking the box from the Brunswick Food and Wine shop in Western Road, Hove, shortly before 5pm on Monday 4 March.
Sarah Sleigh, who lives near by in Cambridge Road, Hove, has been arrested and charged with theft, Sussex Police said.
She is due to appear before the bench at Brighton Magistrates’ Court to answer the charge on Thursday 4 April.
The collection tin had been placed on the shop counter to raise money on behalf of the Sussex Air Ambulance.
