A van crashed on the A23 in Patcham, leading to long tailbacks, but the driver failed to stop.
Sussex Police said that the crash happened at about 5pm yesterday (Thursday 16 May) on the southbound side of the road.
The white van crashed into an orange Chevrolet Camaro, which in turn hit a black Ford Cmax.
Both lanes were blocked, causing long tailbacks, but the white van drove off without stopping.
A police spokesman said: “Fortunately no one was injured in this incident.
“However, the van driver should have stopped at the scene but failed to do so.”
Anyone who saw the crash is asked to call Sussex Police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
