Firemen rescued a young girl who became stuck up a tree in Portslade last night (Sunday 21 July).
The girl had climbed the tree in Locks Crescent, Portslade, to try to rescue a cat which appeared to be stuck.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said that the call came in at just after 9pm.
A crew from Hove turned out and used a ladder to reach the girl. She was brought down to safety unhurt.
The job lasted just ten minutes.
In the meantime the cat had made its own way down.
