Brighton and Hove Albion drew the now traditional pre-season friendly at Crawley Town.

Collins John headed the Reds in front after 15 minutes but a free-kick from Kazenga LuaLua put Albion left with 15 minutes remaining.

Andrew Crofts made his comeback after six months out with a knee injury.

And Solly March was injured with only 17 days left before the start of the Football League season on Saturday 9 August.

Simon Walton had a busy night in the Albion goal and put in a creditable performance.

Gordon Greer, Jake Forster-Caskey and LuaLua all had chances that were saved or missed the target at the other end.

Almost half the 2,874 crowd at the Broadfield Stadium consisted of Brighton fans.
