A 20-year-old man has been arrested after an attempted rape in Brighton.
The victim, a 60-year-old woman, was sitting near to the toilets in the Pavilion Gardens at around 8pm on Monday, September 8 when a man, who had been sitting next to her, put his arm round her, before trying to rape her. Two women heard her screams as they walked through the gardens and went to help. The man then ran away.
A man was arrested nearby and remains in custody.
