A man was robbed by a pair of men who got him chatting before leading him to a quiet side-street and robbing him.
On August 8 at 6am a 25-year-old man was walking along the seafront past the bottom of West Street when he was approached by two men in their early 20s.
The victim has walked with these two men into Cannon Place after they chatted on the seafront, however he was then punched in the face and they stole his wallet and phone.
Police today launched an appeal for witnesses to the attack to come forward.
PC Neil Lambert said: “These two then ran away along Russell Road and onto West Street. One of the men is described as black, 6ft, slim with cropped hair and the other man is white, 5ft 6in, slim and fair hair.
