A car crash outside the Hanover pub closed Queen’s Park Road to traffic earlier this evening.
Emergency services were called to the crash at the junction with Pankhurst Avenue shortly after 8pm this evening.
A spokesman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue said: “There were two cars involved and the driver of one was still inside. The driver or passengers of the second car were on the side of the road being treated by ambulance crew.
We made efforts to remove the driver of the first car by taking off the roof.”
The road was cleared within 40 minutes of the accident.
