Woman smashes windscreen of passing car outside Brighton pub

A woman ran out in front of a passing car then smashed its windscreen by throwing an object at it.

Police today launched an appeal for witnesses after the incident outside the Good Companions pub in Dyke Road on Saturday, 18 October at about 7.30pm

The woman was white, in her early 20s and had long blonde or brown hair.

Response investigator Hannah Oakley said: “The area would have been quite busy at the time so I am sure there would have been other people who saw what happened.

“I would like to speak to anyone who was in the area who could have information that could help us.”

A 25-year-old woman from Brighton was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage. She was questioned before being released on bail until 16 November.
