This year’s Color Run along Madeira Drive will have added glitter and sparkle.
The Color Run (so-spelled as it originated in the US) sees thousands of runners spring along the seafront while being bombarded with coloured powder.
The 2015 event on Saturday, 10 October, is now open for registration – and this year, the powder will have extra shimmer.
The Color Run is not timed, so participants can walk, jog, dance and party their way along the course at any pace, and have different coloured paint powder flung at them in colour zones at every kilometre.
James Robinson, MD of Challenger World said: “It’s clear to see how much love there is for The Color Run. The summer of 2015 promises to be even bigger and better than last year, with a brand new dazzling twist. We can’t wait for the first event to get started.”
The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) will be the official charity partner for 2015. Participants can support the children’s charity when they sign up by donating straight to the charity or setting up a fundraising page once they have entered.
NSPCC Director of Fundraising, Paul Farthing, said: “By taking part in one of these fun, colourful events and raising money for the NSPCC, people will be joining our fight for every childhood, helping us protect children and prevent abuse here in the UK.”
The race costs £26 for individuals and £24 p/person for group bookings. Click here for more information.
