Another unit of the former Co-Op in Brighton’s London Road is to be a kitchen equipment shop.

NisbetsNisbets will be opened next Friday, 6 March at 11.30am by Great British Bake Off contestant Kate Henry.

She will also be signing copies of the latest Great British Bake Off book and taking questions from budding bakers.

To celebrate the opening, the store is offering 20% off everything, a free goody bag worth £10 with every purchase and complimentary refreshments.

Professional chef supplier Nisbets started as a catalogue business in 1983, and now has eight UK stores as well as a retail website.

The Gym Group is due to open in another of the former department store’s ground floor units in April.

Wetherspoons was reported to be interested in taking one of the units last year, but no licensing application or announcement has, to date, been made.
