Five things we learnt about Brighton & Hove Albion’s draw at Millwall
Millwall 0 Brighton & Hove Albion 0
1) It was Albion’s fifth goalless draw of the season and the fourth away from home.
2) It was new Millwall boss Neil Harris’s first match in charge at the New Den. Harris played for the Lions in the 2004 FA Cup Final not long after recovering from testicular cancer.
3) Joe Bennett hit the bar for Albion and had a another clear chance at the very end but skied the ball into the stand.
4) David Stockdale again proved he is Albion’s most enigmatic player since Robert Codner. Despite looking solid Stockdale managed to misjudge the flight of a corner and punched the ball against Gordon Greer. Fortunatly the ball rebounded for another corner.
5) Wigan’s loss at home to Watford and Blackpool’s home defeat to Charlton means that Albion are now eight points clear of the relegation zone with a superior goal difference to every team in the bottom half of the table.
