Albion are level with Norwich at the interval with both teams having had half chances to break the deadlock.
Both Cameron Jerome and Wes Hoolahan have brought smart saves from Seagulls keeper David Stockdale.
Joao Teixeira forced John Ruddy into a fingertip stop after good work from Bruno Saltor.
Jerome had the best chance to open the scoring but failed to connect as the ball skidded across the six-yard box.
