Conservatives nominate candidates for all 54 seats in local elections in Brighton and Hove

The Conservative Party has nominated candidates for all 54 seats in the local elections in Brighton and Hove on Thursday 7 May.

Nominations closed at 4pm today (Thursday 9 April).

Graham Cox is standing down to contest the Hove seat in the House of Commons at the general election on the same day.

Brian Pidgeon is retiring as one of the three councillors for Patcham, David Smith is retiring as one of the trio representing Rottingdean Coastal and Geoff Wells is stepping down as one of the two councillors in Woodingdean.

Former councillor Jan Young, who used to represent Central Hove, is standing in East Brighton, a traditionally safe Labour seat.
