Students from Longhill went on a school trip to the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital yesterday (Tuesday 22 March) to deliver a giant haul of eggs.
The generous youngsters worked with the Rockinghorse children’s charity to sweeten Easter for children staying in the Royal Alex over the holidays.
The Longhill High School students held a competition to see which house at the Rottingdean school could collect the most eggs. They collected 175 in total.
Jim Matthews, who helps mentor pupils from the winning King House, said: “Our students have really been on-board with this idea.
“Lots of our staff and students have personal experience of the Alex and the wonderful work they do. It’s great for us to be able to give something back.”
