Charlton Athletic 0 Brighton & Hove Albion 1

Albion lead by a goal to nil at the Valley in a match disrupted by a demonstration on the terraces.

Black and white beach balls were hurled on to the pitch forcing the referee Simon Hooper to delay proceedings.

Soon after the restart Albion took the lead through Sam Baldock.

Charlton have had a couple of half chances but the Seagulls have not found a clear opening since the goal.

Seven minutes of stoppage time were played as Albion’s promotion rivals Middlesbrough continue to draw at home to Ipswich Town.
