Brighton & Hove Albion have arranged an additional pre season friendly away at newly promoted Oxford United on Tuesday 26th July.
Albion haven’t played the U’s since 1995.
Oxford were Albion’s bogey team of the 1980’s. Thrashing the Seagulls 0-3 at the Goldstone in 1982. In the FA Cup 4th Round.
The U’s captain Jake Wright made six appearances for Albion in 2009.
The Seagulls have yet to annouce the opponents for a glamour friendly at the Amex over the weekend of 29th – 31st July .
Most of Europe’s elite are competing in international friendly tournaments at this time. Many in America .
Fans will be hoping for high calibre opposition with Glasgow Rangers or Liverpool being discussed on the message boards. However, and tantalisingly Barcelona are in Ireland on 30th July.
