The council is urging young people to respond to a consultation about proposed cuts to youth services in Brighton and Hove City Council’s budget for the coming financial year.
The council said: “Public consultation has started on proposals by Brighton and Hove City Council to change the city’s youth services offered by the council and by local voluntary organisations.
“Due to reductions in funding from the government and increased demand for services the council has to make savings of £51 million over the next three years.
“As part of the consultation process the council wants to encourage as many young people in the city as possible to respond to an online questionnaire and help shape the future of the service.
“The consultation lists a number of services that would be affected if the budget proposals are agreed.
“Some of these are provided by the council, while others are provided by the local community and voluntary sector.
“The questions on the portal are designed to gain young people’s views about the overall service and the individual parts offered by the council and by voluntary organisations.
“All responses will be shared with councillors ahead of the council’s budget meeting on Thursday 23 February.

“The consultation closes on Sunday 12 February.”
