David Stockdale ended weeks of speculation today (Tuesday 13 June) by joining Birmingham City on a free transfer.
Stockdale made 133 appearances as first choice keeper for Albion, seeing off challenges from Nikki Maenpaa and Christian Walton.
Stockdale, who was born in Leeds, is reaching the peak of his career at 31 years old.
He will be remembered for several penalty saves in Albion’s promotion season and for his involvement with the bereaved families in the aftermath of the Shoreham air show disaster.
Meanwhile, Albion are closing in on Valencia’s Australian international keeper Matt Ryan.
