A lineside fire are causing chaos on trains to and from Brighton and Hove this afternoon.

The fire at Coulsdon South is leading to delays between Gatwick and Croydon. The ‘quarry lines’ are blocked, which means all services between Purley and Redhill are at a standstill.
Trains are being diverted via Redhill, which is causing congestion on all related routes, including between East Croydon and Brighton.
The delays come just after earlier signal problems at Balcombe caused trains to be halted this morning, which is still causing severe delays on the Brighton Mainline.
