Two women were sexually assaulted in broad daylight in Brighton within three hours of each other, police said today (Friday 4 August).
Sussex Police has published an efit which was created with the help of one of the victims.
Both attacks happened on the morning of Thursday 29 July – one in Mackie Avenue and the other in Ladies’ Mile Road.
The initial offence took place at 9am and the second took place at 11.45am. On both occasions the women were on their own.
One of the victims was pushing her two-year-old daughter in her buggy.
The women were approached from behind. They had their skirts lifted up and one had her bottom exposed and touched.
Detective Sergeant Cheryl Lewendon said: “On both occasions the suspect has been described as a white man, with dark head hair and facial hair, wearing scruffy clothes.
“The man ran off and got into a small silver hatchback possibly an older shaped Renault Clio and drove off.
“One of the victims has helped us put together an efit to try to identify the man responsible.”
Anyone who recognises him or has any information is asked to contact Sussex Police online or call 101, quoting serial 356 of 29/07.
