Vegans donned pig masks to demonstrate outside Brighton Magistrates’ Court this morning as a fellow protester denied criminal damage at McDonald’s last month.
Dylan Roffey, 23, of Terminus Road, Brighton was also charged with resisting arrest during the demonstration at the London Road branch of the burger chain, during which blood was poured onto the floor.
She is accused of throwing “a red substance” over tables, chairs, floors and machines inside the restaurant on 17 May, causing about £3,000 worth of damage.
And she has also been charged with resisting PC Willis as he attempted to arrest her.
She denied both charges, and the case has now been adjourned ahead of a trial.
