Rumours of Valencia followed by Manchester United away are a far cry from Scunthorpe and Walsall as Albion await official fixture release

Manager of Brighton and Hove Albion’s women team dismissed after allegations

As Brighton and Hove Albion fans eagerly await the publication of the 2019-20 Premier League fixtures – due out at 9am tomorrow (Thursday 13 June) the usual social media rumour mill is in operation.

Speculation is that the Seagulls will visit Old Trafford for the big kick off.

Albion defeated United early last season at the Amex, one of the results that led to the demise of Jose Mourinho.

Coupled with further speculation that Valencia are to visit the Amex for a pre-season friendly, this is a world away, in footballing terms, from the initial games of the 2009-10 season.

Albion played Scunthorpe United in a pre-season friendly 10 years ago and then lost at home to Walsall in the first League One fixture of the season, under Russell Slade. Troy Deeney starred for the Saddlers.

Brighton and Hove News will bring you the details of Albion’s confirmed 2019-20 fixtures just after 9am tomorrow morning.
