Brighton’s Carnival Collective announce 25th anniversary bash
Carnival Collective – 25 years of fun!

On Friday 29th November 2019 Brighton’s infamous ’21st Century Big Band’, Carnival Collective, are putting on the party of the quarter century to celebrate their 25 year journey – where they have risen from carnival street band to ‘drum and bass orchestra’ and Brighton’s biggest, baddest, glitteriest party band.

They are including a number of amazing bands whose members have been part of their journey. Special guests include: Bring Your Own Brass (London), Along Came Shifty, SambaYaBamba (Glasgow), Boogalooniverse, Bloco Branco, Sambaoke (mass karaoke with a live samba band!), Roxalas, Barulho plus DJ’s! Plus, of course, Carnival Collective’s infamous blend of huge percussive rhythms, hot brass, lush vocals and dirty bass, playing original live D’n’B, samba, jungle, ska, Latin, funk, hip-hop and more.

They are certainly making a night of it, as the event will kick off on Brighton seafront at 7pm at Coalition, (located at 171-181 Kings Road Arches, Brighton, BN1 1NB) but the party doesn’t stop there.. the audience will then follow a marching Samba band through the streets of Brighton to the second venue of the night, the Komedia, (located at 44-47 Gardner Street, Brighton, BN1 1UN) where they will be having it large in the main space as well as their studio bar from 11pm until late. There’ll be merch, cake, glitter station, prize giveaways and more.

Carnival Collective

The Carnival Collective are so proud of their history in the city, as an inclusive, not-for-profit, community-interest group, collectively organised without management, that’s nonetheless released several albums, and played gigs, events and stages across the UK and further – from Glastonbury’s Shangri-Hell Stage to Brighton Pride Main Stage, from Bestival’s Caravanserai to Glasgow’s Encontro. This year they won a place on Funk and Soul Weekender’s Main Stage at Glynde with a public vote of over 3000.

Let’s get in the paaaaartyyy mood right now – click HERE to enjoy Carnival Collective’s ‘Suerte’.

The tickets for the special 25th anniversary bash are now on sale from the Komedia website.
The tickets cover both of the venue events – grab them before they all go!
