Police investigating an assault on a 60-year-old man in Duke Street, Brighton, have arrested three people in connection with the incident.
The man was reportedly kicked and punched by a group of people at about 8.35pm on Sunday (13 October) and had liquid poured on him. He was taken to hospital to be checked over and was released.
Two women aged 24 and 32 and a 31-year-old man were detained on suspicion of affray and are currently in custody.
Inspector Karen Osborn said: “We have arrested three people in connection with the assault and our enquiries are continuing. We would like to thank those members of the public who contacted us with information which has helped us to move the investigation forward.”
