A man was found dead at a house in Brighton this morning (Monday 16 February).
At least two ambulances and a paramedic car were sent to the scene by the South East Coast Ambulance Service.
And at least four Sussex Police cars also turned out to the property, in Sandhurst Avenue, Woodingdean.
The force said that the emergency services were called to the house at about 10.15am because of concerns for a local man’s welfare.
But despite the best efforts of police and paramedics, the man, who was in his eighties, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sussex Police added that the man’s death was not being treated as suspicious.
His next of kin have been informed.
A report is to be prepared for the coroner.

How come 7 vehicles, I had a 70yo friend who fell down a stairs and in absolute agony and the ambulance took 90 minutes and only lives half a mile from AE.
Probably there is/was some concerns about how he met his demise and so various agencies and experts were needed!
If it’s a potential workable arrest, it’s optimal to send two ambulance crews and a CCP on a car to be able to run a full resus.
