A Brighton burger bar has closed after 13 years, according to its website and posters at the premises.
MeatLiquor said: “Thanks for everything, Brighton. We had a blast. 13 Years. Countless burgers. Questionable decisions. The best kind of crowd.”
“Brighton – you’ve been magic. Thank you to everyone who has supported, visited and worked for us.
“We’re now closed for good but you can still find us in London. Same chaos, different postcode.”
MeatLiquor, in York Place, Brighton, said a fortnight ago that it would stop serving food but yesterday (Friday 27 March) the chain closed its Brighton branch completely.
The announcement followed a decision to reduce the number of trading days to Thursday to Sunday.
The chain started from a van in Peckham, in London, and grew into a chain under founders Yianni Papoutsis and Scott Collins, with the Brighton branch opening in September 2013.
The MeatLiquor branch in Leeds closed last September but several branches in London are still open.
