A driver has been arrested after crashing into another car and smashing it into a brand new parked car.
Sussex Police said: “We received a report of a two-vehicle collision on the corner of Burwash Road and Poynings Drive. Hove, at 11.02pm on Wednesday (8 April).
“A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving without due care and attention and without insurance.
“He has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
The crash happened when a Vauxhall Astra heading up Poynings Drive crashed into a black 2-litre Audi A3 Tdi, emerging from Burwash Road.
Both cars suffered significant damage in the crash. No injuries were reported.
Witnesses said that an ambulance attended and that a woman passenger in the Astra was assessed at the scene.
The parked car that was damaged in the crash was a red Toyota Corolla Excel that was first registered less than three weeks ago and sells for about £37,000.
A Yeep parcel locker store was also damaged.
