WITH VIDEO: A cat was helped down from the top of a tree by firefighters after getting stuck there overnight.
The mog got up to the top of the elm tree at the bottom of Elm Grove yesterday – and then didn’t come down.
By mid-morning today, it was time to call in the emergency services – and a fire crew from Preston Circus came to the rescue.
A small crowd cheered when the cat was brought to safety.
A spokeswoman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue said: “We were called on 13 April at 11:06am to a small animal rescue in Elm Grove, Brighton.
“One fire engine from Preston Circus was in attendance and the Aerial Ladder Platform.
“One cat was rescued from height and crews left the scene by midday.”

How much did that cost taxpayers?
The same amount if they didn’t attend.
Yeah Russell you should know better .
