Teen girl groped on Brighton bus

Police have this week released an image of a man they want to talk to about a sexual assault on a bus last month.

The assault happened on the 46 to Hollingbury on Wednesday, 25 March at around 5pm.

The bus was in Ditchling Road when the victim, a 14-year-old girl, was approached by a man who sat next to her and touched her inappropriately.

The man reportedly disembarked the bus at Friar Road.

He was described as aged in his 20s, roughly 6ft and wearing shorts and sandals.

Officers are continuing to pursue a number of lines of enquiry in an ongoing investigation and would like to speak with this man in connection with enquiries.

Anyone who recognises him, who witnessed the incident, or who has relevant information such as mobile footage is encouraged to report it to us online or by calling 101 quoting serial 1355 of 25/03.

Poor girl, hope they catch this scum quickly. Surely in 2026 the CCTV should be 4k on buses?

It’s not that there’s no camera , they all have nowadays.
But they need to find where he went after getting off, and hope his picture been shown will encourage someone to identify him.

Looks like another sexually pent-up foreigner to me!
Women and girls should really be careful out there on their own. Good honest men need to keep an eye out for these lurking individuals and deal with them accordingly!
