The body of a Hove man has been recovered from the sea.
Sussex Police said: “Police were called to Hove beach, near Lansdowne Place, Hove, on Tuesday 4 August at around 6.30am to a report of concern for the welfare of a person in the water.
“The body of a 58-year-old man was recovered from the water, and he was sadly declared deceased at the scene.
“His next of kin are aware and our thoughts remain with them during this time.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for HM Coroner.”
