Brighton tastemaker indie label Goo Records have announced a return to the Green Door Store with a showcase night featuring four of the most exciting emerging artists around. Interestingly, the venue is located in the Lower Goods Yard of Brighton’s Victorian Railway Station and was once a horse hospital, hence its characteristic cobbled flooring within the performance room.

This new showcase event will be taking place on Wednesday 25th November 2026 and running from 7:30pm.
Let’s meet the artists….

Not Richard & Her Majesty are a death-glam doom-wop eucatastrophe from Brighton which is led by Rich Fownes. They dropped their debut 5-track ‘Not Hot’ EP last August and have recently followed it up with their debut 9 tune long-player ‘Success & Fulfilment’.
Every song is a diary of personal, professional, sexual, financial and gender ruin. And in our experience, every show is a joyous explosion of 60s sunshine pop chaos not to be missed.
The Mink: The Mink leapt from the soup of East Anglia’s music scene in late 2022 wielding jazz-infused psychedelia with hooky vocals and wailing guitar solos. Think Tame Impala if they’d been kept in a tent and fed acid for several months, and if Kevin Parker could play the flute. The Mink are here to spread the good word of Flute Rock to the masses.Their latest release is their ‘Squeaky Clean’ 4-track EP and punters attending the Goo Records Showcase can expect neo-psych that’s dreamy, groovy, riffy and flutey in equal measure from this outfit.
That Band Called Susan are a noise punk duo from Hertfordshire making a raw and chaotic racket. Their Bandcamp page states that they combine “aggressive, insulting bass with borderline abusive drums to create their boundary pushing sound with blistering raw energy”.
Think Shellac having a sort of play fight with Mclusky about what “post-hardcore” really means, or as our February 2025 review of them stated “they are the demented brothers of Snayx and Skinny Milk”. Last September they released their 5-song ‘Room Three’ EP.
Lana Death Ray are a psych-gaze five piece from Brighton who are currently building quite the buzz thanks to their infectious, fuzzed up epic sound with some of the best hair around.
Last year they released two singles, ‘Thorn’ and ‘Smile’, which were then collected together with a trio of other cuts and released as ‘The Holy Death Ray!’ EP. This year their ‘Mould’ single bolstered their output.
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased HERE.
See ya down the front!
