A teenager has been stabbed in Brighton, police said today (Sunday 16 August).
Sussex Police said that they were appealing for witnesses to a report of a stabbing of a 17-year-old boy between the A259 seafront road and Western Road, Brighton, at about 5.10pm yesterday.
The force said: “The victim was taken to hospital with injuries which were not serious or life threatening.
“He is being supported by officers.”
Detective Inspector Jenny Pietersen said: “We are appealing for anyone who saw the incident to come forward.
“The area was very busy at that time and we would like to hear from anyone who has mobile phone, dashcam or CCTV footage which could help our investigation.
“We understand reports of this nature are concerning for the public and we have our neighbourhood policing teams out in the city carrying out inquiries.
“Please speak to our officers if you have concerns or any information in relation to this incident.”
