A bogus Deliveroo rider on an ebike has pleaded guilty to being a drug dealer.
Elton Dalliu was spotted by police in Hove and sped off on his ebike but he was caught a short while later and found himself in court the next day.
He admitted having drugs with intent to supply and is due to be sentence by a crown court judge next month.
Sussex Police said; “On Wednesday 12 August, officers on patrol saw a man riding an ebike in New Church Road, Hove, while wearing a food delivery backpack.
“Information received to police suggested that the man was involved in drug dealing in the area while posing as a food delivery rider.
“Officers launched attempts to stop the man at the junction of Blatchington Road. However, he attempted to flee.
“He was successfully stopped near by and searched, leading to the seizure of class A and class B drugs, as well as a quantity of cash.
“He was subsequently arrested and taken into custody.
“A search of an address connected to the ebike rider was also carried out as part of wider inquiries, leading to the discovery and seizure of further drugs and cash.
“Elton Dalliu, 31, of Kingsway, Hove, appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 13 August, charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply a class A drug and two counts of possession with intent to supply a class B drug.
“He was then remanded in custody.”
He appeared in the crown court last week, pleaded guilty to all the offences and was remanded for sentence on Thursday 8 October.

Real workers do it to. God only knows what is kept in those bags dirty put on floor of dog piss. When a druggie needs a fix get on his rusty bike and use app.
The builders after their jobs get on scooter with toxic dusty clothes people are stupid.
Can anyone translate the above please?
“Construction workers also deal in drugs. The storage conditions for the bags used are likely of extremely low hygiene. Modern telecommunications makes accessing dealers easy. The attire of the dealers, coming straight from a construction site, makes them obvious to spot. It is incredulous that people do not notice.”
He’s been getting away with that atrocious lack of language skills, ‘all his life’.
Well, who knew?
I suppose it’ll take years for Sussex Police to realise that delivering drugs via a txt is the Deliveroo e-bike business, and that food is just the cover.
Staggeringly naive
Nothing new about fast food n drugs, been on tv about a certain pizza shop 30 years ago, plus petrol stations, pick up when you tank
One of many….. never seen so many hamburgers delivered in paper envelopes in Central Hove… they don’t even pretend to hide it.
Not all delievroo drivers are bad. Lots migrants seeking new life and needing money to send home. Think about it. Ok
The system does need better regulation though. Closing down the L-plate loophole because you shouldn’t be able to drive commercially without a certified knowledge of the rules of the road; the subjective opinion of the quality of driving from many food delivery drivers is very poor, putting themselves and others into danger.
The lack of regulation does also leave people vulnerable to exploitation, which has been notorious in this particular industry.
