PREVIEW: Tom Davis: Spudgun in Brighton Comedy Festival

Actor and comedian Tom Davis is heading to Brighton this October with his new stand-up show, Spudgun, as part of the Brighton Dome Comedy Festival in cahoots with Komedia.
The comedian, actor and podcast host will take to the stage at Brighton Dome’s Concert Hall on Friday 16 October, promising a fresh batch of observations on life’s many hot topics.
Davis is perhaps best known to television audiences for his starring role as DI Desimo in the BAFTA and Royal Television Society award-winning comedy Murder in Successville, as well as playing the title role in the BBC One sitcom King Gary and now Aslan in the Guy Ritchie Netflix series The Gentleman.
He is also one half of the hugely popular Wolf and Owl podcast alongside fellow comedian Romesh Ranganathan. The pair have built up a loyal following with their often gloriously unpredictable conversations, ranging from everyday annoyances to the stranger corners of modern life.
Davis has also taken his comedy to screen in his own stand-up special Underdog, available on Sky and NOW TV. His other television and film credits include Live at the Apollo, The Jonathan Ross Show, A League of Their Own, The Curse, Wonka and Paddington 2. Now he is back on the road with Spudgun, billed as a chance to hear Davis firing out his latest observations in his distinctive style.
The Times has praised his performance, describing audiences as being unable to resist the “undiluted appeal” of his delivery and stage persona.

Dates: Fri 16th October Oct 2026, 7.30pm. Doors opening at 6.45pm. There will be a 20-minute interval at around 8.15pm, with the performance expected to finish at approximately 9.20pm.
