Two people have been arrested on suspicion of assault after a man and a woman, who were known to each other, were taken to hospital for treatment at the weekend.
The arrests followed an incident at Clarendon House, in Clarendon Road, Hove, on Sunday morning (20 September).
Sussex Police said: “Emergency services responded to a report of two people with injuries inside an address in Clarendon House, Hove, at about 10am on Sunday (20 September).
“A man and a woman known to him were taken to hospital and both were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH).
“They have both been released on bail pending further inquiries.
“Officers are investigating the circumstances but the incident is not believed to have posed any risk to the wider community.
