There’s been a murder!

Midsomer Murders, Brighton Theatre Royal - Tuesday 3rd - Saturday 7th February

There’s been a murder!

When well-loved spinster Emily Simpson is found dead in the picturesque village of Badger’s Drift, her friend Lucy Bellringer refuses to accept it was an accident. DCI Tom Barnaby and Sergeant Gavin Troy are called in to investigate, uncovering a world of hidden passions, long-buried secrets and deadly rivalries.

Yes, Midsomer may be based in Oxfordshire, but this week Brighton’s Theatre Royal is hosting the characters, and there is sure to be intrigue, sleuthing, and, oh yes, murder! The invite simply asks us to spend an evening in England’s deadliest county…

Daniel Casey, who created the role of Sergeant Troy in ITV’s Midsomer Murders, now returns to play the role of Inspector Tom Barnaby. Daniel’s recent television credits include Emmerdale, EastEnders and Coronation Street, places where murders seem to be a popular pasttime so he should be ready! Daniel’s recent theatre credits include Bernard in Yes, Prime Minister (Theatre Clywd), Laurence in Abigail’s Party (UK Tour) and Roger in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time (National Theatre).

Written and directed by Guy Unsworth, this new theatrical adaptation is based on the book by Caroline Graham The Killings at Badger’s Drift and the television series Midsomer Murders.

We suggest you attend, take maticulous notes and see if you can be one step ahead and work out the plot before the murderer strikes again!

The performance is taking place on:

Tuesday 3rd February – 7.30 pm

Wednesday 4th February – 2.30 & 7.30 pm

Thursday 5th February – 7.30 pm

Friday 6th February – 7.30 pm

Saturday 7th February – 2.30 & 7.30 pm

Tickets are available from Theatre Royal, Brighton.
