Armed police arrested a man in Brighton this morning (Monday 7 September), according to neighbours.
Officers were said to have been responding to reports that a man had been seen with a weapon.
They ordered neighbours to stay inside as they were deployed in Findon Road.
One officer was heard saying afterwards that incident had been blown out of all proportion.
Sussex Police have been approached for comment.
