Extensions to the parking zones around Wish Park and Bolsover Road in Hove come into operation from this week.
The Wish Park scheme is an extension to the Area W “light touch” controlled parking zone and will operate seven days a week from 10am to 11am and 7pm to 8pm.
Bolsover Road is an extension to the Area R parking scheme and operates seven days a week from 9am to 8pm.
Last year Brighton and Hove City Council consulted residents and local businesses on whether they would like controlled parking in their area. Some 75 per cent of respondents in Wish Park and 92.5 per cent of respondents of Bolsover Road voted in favour of the proposals.
The parking scheme extensions for this area in Hove were drawn up after the citywide parking review which showed that residents were experiencing parking problems in the locality.
