A cyclist was left with serious injuries by a car which slammed into the back of his bicycle in Marine Parade yesterday afternoon.
The small red vehicle, which had just hit a parked car while travelling east past Duke’s Mound, failed to remain at the scene.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the crash, which happened at about 3.30pm. The cyclist, a 33 year old local man, received serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses to help identify the vehicle and its driver. Anyone with information should contact police on 0845 6070999, quoting serial 967 of 10th January.
