Christmas tree recycling sites in Brighton and Hove will open from Monday 3 January.

Last year local residents recycled a record number of Christmas trees, ensuring that they were composted rather than ending up in landfill sites.

Brighton and Hove City Council’s Christmas tree recycling sites will be open at the following locations until Monday 31 January.

A map of the sites is available at www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/christmastree.

The sites are in the following locations

Hollingbury Park – Ditchling Road, north entrance opposite Woodbourne Avenue

Ladies Mile Road – behind the clock tower at the junction with Mackie Avenue

Mackie Avenue/Plainfields Avenue – playing field opposite shops

St Ann’s Well Gardens – Nizells Avenue

Wish Park – in Wish Road in the north east corner of the park by the playground

Anyone wishing to recycle their tree before Monday 3 January can take it to the green waste section at the city’s household waste recycling centres off Wilson Avenue, Brighton, and Old Shoreham Road, Hove.
