The Prime Minister Theresa May has promoted the Conservative MP for Brighton Kemptown to a ministerial post in the Treasury.

Mr Kirby said that he was delighted to have received a phone call from the Mrs May earlier today (Saturday 16 July) when she offered him the job of Economic Secretary to the Treasury in her new government.

Mr Kirby said: “I am honoured and humbled to have been asked to become Economic Secretary to the Treasury.

“I will do my very best to support our Prime Minister Theresa May and her government and continue to work hard to represent everyone in Brighton Kemptown and Peacehaven.”

That’ll annoy the ‘city comrades’ as usual ☺ Never mind – Peter and Caroline can concentrate on their constituency duties, writing articles for the various city news rags, and looking for photo opportunities, instead.

He who voted ‘no’ for the mansion tax and ‘yes’ for the bedroom tax. He also voted for welfare cuts and MPs huge pay rise. That tells you all you need to know about Mr Kirby. Traitor to the poor, working classes and the disabled. Not in my name.
