A woman has been served with a restraining order after attacking a Brighton man and threatening to kill him and harassing a second man.
Mary Rene, 56, denied harassing Nathan Saunders and Alexander Banks but she was convicted at Brighton Magistrates’ Court by district judge Tessa Szagun.
Rene, who lives on a houseboat berthed at the Surry Boat Yard on the River Adur, put Mr Saunders in fear of violence over two and a half months before she was arrested by Sussex Police.
She assaulted and verbally abused Mr Saunders, threatened to kill him and threatened to attack him at Chester Court in Sussex Square, Kemp Town.
She also repeatedly verbally abused Alexander Banks and kicked his front door at Chester Court, the judge was told.
She banned Rene from contacting both men and from going to Chester Court and ordered her to carry out 180 hours of unpaid work for 180 hours over the next 12 months.
Rene must also pay £620 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and an £85 victim surcharge.
