Fresh appeal for witnesses as investigation into Hangleton stabbing continues

Six teenage boys are in police custody after a stabbing in Hangleton, by the Grenadier pub and shops.

One man was treated in hospital for “serious stab wounds”.

Sussex Police said: “Police are appealing for witnesses after two men in their twenties were assaulted on Friday 12 January at approximately 10pm in Queen’s Parade, Hangleton

“One of the men sustained serious stab wounds as a result of the incident.

“He has attended the Royal Sussex County Hospital for the injuries and they are not life threatening.

“There are currently three 15-year-old boys and three 16-year-old boys, who are all from Brighton and Hove, in custody in relation to the incident.

“Police are appealing for witnesses who may have been in the area at the time

“If you have information that may assist police, please call 101 quoting reference 1314/1201 or contact us online.”

I had to call the police about large groups of teens and early 20s with weapons and a knife a few weeks back, they came straight out with a police van but I haven’t seen police around since. There have been a lot more teen gatherings and arguments since then. Until now it has always been so quiet and friendly here.
