A paperboy suffered serious head injuries after a car accident in Hove this morning.
The 14-year-old Hangleton boy was on foot when he was hit by a blue Mazda estate car in Hangleton Road, Hove, at about 7.50am today (Friday 6 May).
He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton before being transferred to Hurstwood Park Neurosciences Centre in Haywards Heath where he was said to be in a critical condition.
The 41-year old car driver, who is also from Hove, was unhurt.
The accident, near the staggered junction with Martin Road and Hangleton Way, led to the road being closed until 10.45am.
