It appears that the spring gigs season is well and truly underway up at the Hope & Ruin in Queens Road, Brighton. Thursday 13th June would be an ideal date to visit the establishment to top up your live music fix, as there will be no less than six music artists playing the venue that night!

Starting at 7:30pm UPSTAIRS at the Hope & Ruin will be a special EP:1 Release Show and starting half an hour later at 8:00pm DOWNSTAIRS will be a special Album Preview Show. This is rather handy for punters as they can simply walk up and/or down a few steps and dip in and out of the performances and choose which best suits them.

So let’s start with what’s occurring UPSTAIRS:
Performing will be NAIPIA with support from Koala Club and a solo set by Dazey.

Meanwhile DOWNSTAIRS:
There will be performances from Garden Centre (with a full band) with support from Jack Goldstein and Radisson Blue.

The performances UPSTAIRS:

With the success of NAIPIA’s previous two singles ‘I Tried’ and ‘Message’, the 13th June is lining up to be a special evening for the release of their third track ‘Warning Signs’. The three tracks collectively making up the debut EP: ‘EP1’.

Join the boys and their friends in Koala Club and Dazey for a night of high quality music and entertainment. Let the beers flow! A big night out on the town will proceed after gig.

NAIPIA:
With the unashamedly ear-worm like simplicity of Ed-Sheeran and the grit and hooks of Catfish and the Bottlemen, NAIPIA combine Indie and pop leaving audiences with addictive melodies etched into their minds. Songs about misspent youth, growth of the soul, and hard lessons learnt, NAIPIA take you to a place of self-reflection whilst shining a light on the beauty of what’s to come. The message: It’s OK to not be OK. Facebook  Spotify

KOALA CLUB:
koala club are a four-piece indie rock band from Brighton bringing catchy riffs and singalong lyrics with the sole intention of creating feel good music. Facebook  Soundcloud

DAZEY:
Dazey is a singer songwriter producer based in South London. With influences spanning from Jeff Buckley to Sylvan Esso, and Bonobo to the Powerpuff Girls, dazey’s sound meanders from delicate to soaring. Facebook

NAIPIA EP:1 RELEASE SHOW: Doors 7:30pm (£5 ENTRY)

The performances DOWNSTAIRS:

Brighton promoter ‘Love Thy Neighbour’ proudly boasts Garden Centre as one of their favourite Brighton bands, and are delighted to be hosting a free entry Brighton show on their album tour with the excellent Jack Goldstein and Radisson Blue in support.

GARDEN CENTRE:
Garden Centre are a band that keep changing their minds. On their self titled début they deconstructed the thoughts and feelings of a friendship group forged in the fires of forgotten spaces. In 2018’s follow up ‘Monster Energy’ they tackled energy drink consumption and semi rural exploration. One thing they can make their minds up about is how to convey these disparate stories – a sweetness of melody and a taught thread of narrative runs through all of their music. Garden Centre are readying to release their new album ‘A Moon For Digging’ in Summer 2019.It is apparently going to be about digging holes. Bandcamp

JACK GOLDSTEIN:
Jack Goldstein is the former frontman for psych-pop band Fixers and a prolific purveyor of outsider pop. Jack makes Experimental Lo-Fi Power Pop and his latest record, titled ‘Love, The Answer To The Problem Of Human Existence’, is being released on limited edition cassette tape by the Oxford based tape label, Beanie Tapes. Bandcamp

RADISSON BLUE:
Radisson Blue is Roxy Brennan, a talented singer-songwriter who has previously played in bands such as Joanna Gruesome, Trust Fund and a variety of other exceptional DIY bands. Her Radisson Blue moniker shows her softer, and delicate side. Bandcamp

GARDEN CENTRE ALBUM PREVIEW SHOW: Doors 8:00pm (FREE ENTRY)
A limited number of guarantee entry tickets are available from Dice or Seetickets

There you go punters! The choice of artists to see is all yours!

The Hope & Ruin is located near Brighton Jubilee Clock Tower at 11-12 Queens Road, Brighton BN1 3WA.
