Three men in court over Hove post office robbery

Three men have been charged with conspiring to commit robbery after a cash bag was snatched from a post office security guard last week.

Dale McQuade, 21, of no fixed address, Elliot Roberts, 21, of Colville Avenue, Hove, and Ashkaan Kalhory,18, of Llangorse Road, Penlan, Swansea, appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 5 March.

All three have been remanded in custody to appear at Lewes Crown Court on 20 May for a Plea and Case Management Hearing.

The robbery took place at the Portland Road Post Office on Tuesday 1 March.

Sussex Police said that detectives were still appealing for information and urged any witnesses to contact them on 0845 6070999 or to call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
