Fears are growing for a missing man who may have come to Brighton to look for work.

Martin Thomas Welstead, 33, from Croxteth, Liverpool, has been missing since Good Friday (22 April).

Sussex Police today issued an appeal for help finding Mr Welstead after a request from Merseyside Police.

Mr Welstead was last seen by his partner just before noon on Good Friday and suggested that he might go to Brighton or Great Yarmouth in search of a job.

He was described as white, 5ft 5in tall and of slim build.

He has cropped dark brown hair, blue eyes and a Liverpool accent.

Mr Welstead has a tattoo on his upper left arm of a thin celtic band and another on his right forearm with the names Kathy, Kelly and Jake.

He was last seen wearing a T-shirt, shorts and flip-flops.

Mr Welstead or anyone who has seen him since Good Friday is asked to call the Liverpool North Control Room on 0151 709 6010 or the Missing Persons Helpline on 0800 700700.
