Burglars broke in to a primary school in Brighton yesterday (Monday 30 May).

The thieves stole a computer and a small amount of petty cash from The Dharma School in Ladies Mile Road, Patcham.

The police helicopter helped to search the area after the break in but the burglars managed to get away.

They broke in through a window of the Buddhist primary school, which has been exploring the possibility of becoming one of the new state-funded “free schools” being promoted by the government.

Anyone who has any information about the burglary is asked to contact Sussex Police on 0845 6070999.
